Job Summary
This Accounts Receivable Clerk position at Lexington Regional Health Center requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be responsible for gathering and sorting Business Office mail, posting manual and electronic payments to patient accounts, and establishing payment plans with patients.
As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work closely with the Patient Financial Advocate to resolve any issues related to patient accounts and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff members. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to identify and correct any discrepancies in patient accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and sort Business Office mail daily
- Post manual and electronic payments to patient accounts
- Establish payment plans with patients
- Assist patients in completing financial assistance applications
- Work closely with the Patient Financial Advocate to resolve account discrepancies
Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and use standard office equipment and computer software
- Basic Life Support certification via American Heart Association within six months of hire
- Ability to perform basic accounting and cash auditing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
