Summary/Function
Reporting to the Director of Instruction, the Digital Technology Learning Coach is responsible for supporting the professional growth and development of all teachers to facilitate learning and independent application of effective instructional technology practices. This position provides support through planning, modeling, co-teaching, training, and data analysis across all content areas to foster learning environments that promote academic excellence, communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving as well as advancing digital, media, and information literacy skills. The Digital Learning Coach collaborates with teachers and building administrators to plan and conduct professional development based on assessed school and/or teacher needs. This position functions within the Instruction Department as a district-wide staff developer and curriculum specialist. This position requires a passionate, knowledgeable professional who understands the intersection of teaching, learning, and technology and is dedicated to ongoing learning, teamwork, and the success of all students and staff within the district.
Education/Work Experience Required
Ability to read and analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication.

Education/Work Experience Required
- Master's degree or higher, in Education technology or related field and valid/current South Carolina Professional Teaching Certificate. Copy of certificate required in application.
- Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience
- Experience in education, instructional technology, and leadership
- Champion the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of Lexington District Two, ensuring every action aligns with district goals.
- Collaborate with school leadership teams to drive innovative teaching and learning through seamless technology integration across assigned district schools.
- Analyze data to identify professional learning needs and design targeted coaching cycles that elevate instructional practices.
- Model cutting-edge instructional strategies to showcase effective technology integration in the classroom.
- Empower teachers to incorporate technology into instruction, enriching student learning experiences with dynamic digital tools.
- Lead engaging professional learning sessions for teachers, students, and staff through a variety of formats, including small group instruction, coaching cycles, asynchronous training, and virtual workshops.
- Evaluate instructional technology tools and applications, making informed recommendations to enhance learning outcomes.
- Explore and advocate for emerging technologies that can transform teaching and learning experiences.
- Advance digital, media, information, and artificial intelligence literacy among students and staff while fostering responsible and ethical use of digital resources.
- Bridge the gap between teachers, students, and district leadership, ensuring seamless technology support and implementation.
- Develop and distribute high-quality instructional resources and support materials for district platforms, software, hardware, and applications.
- Engage in district digital learning coach meetings and professional development opportunities, collaborating closely with the digital learning team.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and reports to support accountability and compliance.
- Manage the selection, request, and inventory of technology tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring proper storage and safe usage.
- Leverage personal computing devices and software for data management, professional communication, and continuous learning.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth by developing and implementing a personal learning plan to strengthen instructional leadership skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the district’s educational mission.
