Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our pediatric therapy clinic in Phoenix. The Clinical Director will oversee the clinical operations, supervise therapy staff, ensure high-quality care for our pediatric patients, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Phoenix clinic. This is a position with a balance of direct patient care ( /- 10 hours per week) and administrative responsibilities ( 25 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Responsibilities ( /- 10 hours per week):
- Treatment Sessions: Provide high-quality therapy services to pediatric patients, with 5-10 scheduled treatment sessions each week.
- Supervise Therapy Assistants: Supervise and mentor assistant therapists (SLPAs, or COTAs), ensuring compliance with treatment plans and professional standards.
- New Member Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations for new patients to assess their therapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
Administrative Responsibilities ( 25 hours per week):
- Therapist Support: Work closely with Phoenix-based therapists to ensure they feel supported, well-trained, and motivated within the company.
- Support therapists in complex cases, offering clinical guidance and training as needed.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when performance or compliance issues arise.
- Manage therapist material requests, ensuring that therapists have the tools and resources they need to provide effective treatments.
- Review and approve time-off requests from staff, ensuring adequate coverage for therapy services.
- Company Policy: Be in alignment with company policy and expectation. Ensure company policies are being followed across the clinic.
- Authorization Oversight: Support operations team in overseeing authorizations are complete in time.
- Scheduling Oversight: Oversee the scheduling of therapy sessions, ensuring that appointments are efficiently coordinated and that staff workloads are balanced.
- Incident Report Submissions: Ensure timely and accurate submission of incident reports.
- Oversight of Clinic Development and Culture Leads: Provide leadership and guidance to the clinic development leads and culture leads, ensuring their success in their roles and alignment with clinic goals.
- Employee Onboarding & Training: Oversee the onboarding process for new employees and support the training process, ensuring new hires are integrated smoothly and effectively.
Program Development & Growth
- Develop and implement new programs and revenue streams that align with company goals and community needs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulations to enhance service offerings and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Lead professional development initiatives, including in-house training sessions and workshops.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- Active state licensure in your respective therapy field.
- Minimum of 5 years of pediatric therapy experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with administrative tasks.
