Claims Record Unit (CRU) is a division of LexisNexis, which is the industry leader of procuring Law Enforcement records nationwide. Insurance carriers use these records to aide in the adjudication of claims. We process 8 million requests annually and foster business relationships with agencies to streamline and improve processes. CRU is the single point of contact for our customers and utilizes multiple resources and platforms across the U.S, Canada, and P.R. Our teams are located in Duluth, Ga. and the Philippines.
About The Role
Demonstrates a conceptual understanding of the procurement of records for insurance purposes. Applies this understanding in the performance of routine and recurring assignments such as reviewing, compiling, acquiring, organizing, and maintaining records. Position requires every weekend availability. The role will be in office 5 days a week. Hours 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

About The Role

Responsibilities
- Processing incoming responses from police agencies.
- Researching and reviews request and police records information from websites, various internal and external databases.
- Fulfilling, editing, and modifying request for police records to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Performing additional research as required to meet customer expectations and demonstrates ability to meet and exceed established departmental goals.
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Requiring some sedentary and physical labor.
- Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- High school diploma required.
- Availability to work some holidays is mandatory.
- Experience in Criminal Justice, Insurance Claims, Call Centers, and/or police departments is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills are required.
- Proven ability to learn quickly and thrive in a production-based environment.
- Proficiency with Windows and MS Office is preferred.
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Maintain a professional attitude and positive demeanor at all times.
