LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior Database Administrator II to work closely with development teams to provide high-quality business solutions and play an active role in projects from inception to delivery. Responsible for conducting maintenance and bug fixes. Conduct activities for existing database infrastructure and equipment and undertake research into new or alternative technologies. Make recommendations for upgrades or changes to the database infrastructure environment. Responsible for the installation of new database infrastructure and equipment and monitoring its stability. Undertake thorough impact analysis of all assigned database infrastructure activities and understand the impact of work on database infrastructure systems and the business. Respond to issues and support calls in-line with relevant procedures, including security. Resolve performance issues with an emphasis on root cause identification. Perform tests of upgrades and new database infrastructure and equipment. Monitor database operations and support maintenance activities efficiently in order to ensure minimal issues and incidents and install new or upgrade database infrastructure equipment. Responsible for the Installation, administering, upgrading, migrating, maintaining and managing of MS SQL Database Infrastructure. Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues that involve database infrastructure. Implement High Availability and DR solutions (e.g. any of SQL Server Failover Clustering, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Availability Groups, and Replication). Conduct activities for existing database infrastructure and equipment and undertake research into automating requests using PowerShell or Ansible or alternative technologies. Perform other duties as needed. A minimum of a Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or a related field plus 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
