Our client, an AMLaw 50 firm has an immediate opening for a Commercial Litigation Paralegal with strong trial skills for its New York office. The salary range in this role is $90-120,000. Actual compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Hybrid work schedule includes 3 days in office/2 days work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and organizes litigation drive to ensure case documents are easily and promptly accessible to all team members.
- Coordinates, reviews and maintains project status tracking charts for matters, including any tasks and deliverable requirements.
- Assists in all phases of discovery, including fact gathering and analysis of documents, document productions, and preparing for depositions and witness interviews.
- Conducts factual research to support attorney projects.
- Performs cite checking and proofreading.
- Coordinates court and agency filings.
- Communicates with clients, witnesses, and other outside parties as requested or approved by attorneys.
- Assists attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
- Assists with trial preparation, including maintenance of case calendars, case files, and trial notebooks.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in performing commercial litigation paralegal functions.
- Experience preparing for and/or attending trials.
- Ability to perform quality control analysis and report issues with data.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with attorneys, other staff members and external entities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Opus2).
- Flexibility/availability to work overtime as needed.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
