Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Advisor. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with a warm welcome to the service department
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle's issues
- Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs
- Provide customers with detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs
- Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer's vehicle
- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's workflow
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments
- Assist with tire services, including rotations, replacements, and repairs
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote automotive sales and service offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of technology (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Experience in cash handling and basic math skills
- Knowledge of service writing procedures and documentation (preferred but not req.)
- Ability to upsell products or services to meet customer needs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills for scheduling appointments and maintaining records
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience as a service advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Knowledge of suspension systems, oil changes, and other routine maintenance procedures
