Job Summary
The Wholesale Counterperson interacts with external automotive service providers to sell wholesale manufacturer parts, servicing customers with parts questions and needs.
Essential Functions:
· Greets wholesale customers promptly and courteously.
· Builds relationships with parts wholesale customers to meet their needs and provide an excellent customer experience.
· Answers phone calls and emails daily, providing price quotes, telephone orders, and other information.
· Follows-up on parts to ensure that all customers have been served.
· Promotes additional part sales by suggesting related items, and/or seasonal lines.
· Assists customers in selecting required parts and supplement parts.
· Determines correct part numbers and “pick” parts for orders received.
· Expedites when necessary, receives & processes part orders, and getting them set up for delivery.
· Pulls purchased parts from stock.
· Gets parts to the service technicians as soon as possible.
· Orders and stocks items as needed.
· Identifies business opportunities through prospecting and sourcing of new customers using internal and external sales leads.
· May file paperwork and orders.
· May assist with stock items assuring that they are in a clean and orderly condition.
May perform other duties as requested.
Required Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record which shall be reviewed by Human Resources as needed.
· Dealership experience helpful.
· May require Forklift Certification depending on dealership
· May require Hazmat Certification depending on dealership
· May be required to obtain Dealership Brand Certifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Attention to detail.
· Basic knowledge of ability to use Internet software and Inventory software.
· Communicates effectively by phone, in person, and in writing.
· Organizes work effectively, prioritizes objectives, and exercises independent judgment.
· Ability to work effectively with data systems, Microsoft Office software, order processing systems and inventory software and on a computer.
· Intermediate language capabilities such as reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, writing routine reports and correspondence, and speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Basic math capabilities such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and computing rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Intermediate reasoning capabilities such as applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay: $19.38 - $20.27 per hour
