Lezzer Lumber has grown over the decades into the 30th largest lumber dealers in the country. We are currently comprised of 11 retail stores, 4 commercial door facilities, and a truss manufacturing plant, all located in Pennsylvania.

Summary:
Direct the actual sales and delivery of building materials, supplies and services to the customer. Manages the human, physical and financial resources of a combination Retail/Contractor Location to attain sales and profit objectives in accordance with established policies and procedures.  Responsible for maximizing operational efficiency, sales and profits while minimizing labor costs and protecting company assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•    Develops a comprehensive business plan for the location; consistent with the strategic direction of the company. Plan includes consideration for sales, market growth, staffing requirements, asset utilization, expenses, and profitability.
•    Constantly analyzes local market to determine target customers, their product needs, service requirements, and potential sales volume.
•    Meets with customers on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction, and determine future product and service requirements
•    Develops and executes sales and marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of sales, products, and services.
•    Determines and adjusts inventory and equipment needs based on short and long-term plans for marketand sales growth
•    Analyzes location processes, and determines methods to increase productivity, enhance customer service levels, and reduce expenses
•    Hires, develops, sets and reviews performance expectations for the location sales team
•    Motivates location sales team to acquire target accounts, increase sales volume and product mix with existing accounts, maintain or enhance service levels, and obtain gross profit goals
•    Analyzes location financial data to reduce expenses, control accounts receivable and payable, increase inventory turns grow sales, and maximize profit
•    Develops pricing strategies and programs for current and potential customers based on local and wood market conditions.
•    Actively develops subordinate supervisor(s) for future career opportunities within the company
•    Regularly communicates location and company performance, and other relevant information to location associates.
•    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Lezzer policies and applicable laws.  
•    Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. •    Minimum of five years’ experience as a manager or higher, with budget accountability and people management responsibility in the sales and supply of building materials to the professional and non-professional builder
•    Undergraduate Degree in Business or related field preferred
•    Excellent analytical, communications, personal leadership and business management skills
•    Knowledge of residential, multi-family and light commercial building techniques and industry standards
•    Comfortable working in a challenging, fast paced sales environment 

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages employees in the administrative area, load check, manufacturing shop, and showroom. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Lezzer Lumber’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

•    While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly required to talk and hear
•    The associate is frequently required to tour the sales center facilities and visit customers' job /construction sites.
•    The noise level in the work environment is quiet to noisy.
•    Regular short distance business travel within market place is required for this position
•    Lifting or transporting objects over a short distance is a frequent activity, but not a requirement of this position.
•    Relocation required for career advancement.
