Summary :
As a Sr. Manager in Production of cylindrical batteries, you will be responsible for inspiring leaders and teams to deliver production requirements to plan in a safe, timely and cost effective manner for our customers.
Responsibilities :
- Create production plan consistent with customer expectations and ensure Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) are up to date, communicated and measured
- Continuously derive synergy to improve production yield and productivity
- Directing root cause analyses and control plans for all production issues to prevent reoccurrence
- Maintain the manufacturing environment to its fullest capabilities by managing consumables, spare parts, and repair costs.
- Monitor production performance to ensure accurate, targeted volumes are being produced safely at the highest quality and lowest cost
- Providing support to salaried and hourly production team members and removing obstacles to their success
- Active collaboration with teams supporting production (Quality, Technology, Equipment, Inspection)
- Monitor the requirements and results for the weekly Quality review meetings
- Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly workforce planning consistent with production objectives
- Manage hiring, retention, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees
- Coach, mentor and develop the careers of leaders at all levels including managers supervisors and engineers
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
- 5S : Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- 3R : Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in production/plant environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading and managing multiple production processes
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field required
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toed shoes
- Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day
- Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods
