As an Environmental Analyst Intern at LG Energy Solution, your primary responsibilities will involve providing assistance and support to the EH&S team. Your key tasks will include analyzing volume, cost, and rebates associated with various waste streams. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the management of waste, overseeing waste streams, handling procedures, transportation logistics, and disposal methods. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in environmental analysis and waste management within a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
Responsibilities : At LGESMI you will work directly with our EH&S team on projects that include :
- Prepare clear and detailed written reports about inspections / audits to ensure compliance with federal, local, and state regulations
- Support the implementation of spill prevention programs and hazardous waste regulations
- Maintain an understanding of different production processes in order to facilitate training and provide continuous improvement such as waste / recycling management, storm water management, and others as necessary
- Support in the ISO 14001 certification process and lead continuous improvement efforts
- Assist with performing internal audits of training programs and other departments to make sure they are up to date and meet proper environmental standards
- Collect and analyze environmental data such as air emissions and waste / storm water data
- Perform other duties as assigned
