Reports to : Health and Safety Manager

Summary :
Focus on improving EH&S at the Holland site by using his / her experience to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace and engage employees in the development of a strong EH&S culture. Evaluates workplace compliance with regard to local, state and federal regulations. Functions as an expert resource to teams for consistent implementation of company EH&S standards and programs. Performs jobsite auditing and conducts incident investigation. Conducts inspections and ensures compliance with applicable EH&S regulations and standards.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee one or more plant-wide safety, health and / or environmental programs
- Manage the ISO 14001 certification process and lead the Environmental Compliance Team to drive continuous improvement in all environmental programs
- Ensure hazard identification and mitigation for plant operations and administrative offices
- Conduct daily line walks to ensure EH&S practices are being observed and to note any at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment or non-compliance with any EH&S related policies / regulations
- Ensure timely communication of safety issues / concerns to department leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the organization
- Participate in incident investigations and track corrective actions
- Conduct new equipment reviews, mechanical risk assessments and ergonomic risk assessments
- Participate in emergency response drills and critiques
- Conduct new hire orientation, contractor safety and other EH&S related training topics
- Develop / update site specific programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Communicate with LGESMI SH&E colleagues around the globe
- Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards :
