LG Energy Solution (LGES) is a global leader of lithium-ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications.
LGES is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join its North America Business Division that provides support services to all sales/manufacturing subsidiaries and joint ventures in the North America Region.
Summary:
This role supports Global HR in managing expatriate transfers, compensation, and onboarding. It ensures hiring compliance, coordinates visas and accommodations, and communicates with expats about subsidies and reimbursements. Regular responsibilities require working with payroll and benefits teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance. It also includes managing vendor relationships, planning arrivals, and assisting with relocation and repatriation.
Responsibility:
- Assist in coordinating with Global HR and local HR Business Partners to track the transfer of expatriates, changes to compensation and/or terminations
- Assisting in coordinating with Talent Acquisition to ensure compliance with corporate and local hiring guidelines
- Assisting in expats with onboarding process for living arrangement process including and not limited to process such as obtaining social security number, opening a bank account, and other onboarding processes (insurance etc).
- Regular communication with all expats regarding their subsidies, housing, and other needs to ensure comfortable working conditions
- Reviewing and processing expenses and reimbursements due to expats global assignment
- Visa coordination and accommodation arrangement for transfer employees and family to host countries
- Work with payroll and benefit teams to process and resolve expat issues
- Establishing, managing, and maintaining vendor relationships in host countries
- Planning for the arrival of expats and informing the staff in the host country of their arrival
- Ensuring that the expat program is aligned with government policies and procedures
- Work with external immigration attorney(s) to review areas for improvement, mitigate risk in the immigration process, and to maintain compliance with federal laws
- Assist Global HR with the preparation of relocation estimates, visa administration, and coordination of travel arrangements
- Assist FSE Repatriation process
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Bilingual in Korean and English language strongly preferred
- 1-2 year(s) experience with recruitment, global mobility, corporate relocation management experience preferred
- Previous knowledge of the US Visa Programs preferred
- Ability to work in a changing environment with rapid growth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products
- Individual with initiative and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Detailed and with ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with data integrity
