The Campus Lead is responsible for providing direct care supervision, which includes the social, emotional, and physical needs of our male residents. The Direct Care Staff Lead provides the youth with guidance, support, compassion and structure through mentoring and role modeling to promote personal growth and development.
A successful Campus Lead will demonstrate an understanding of problem solving, must offer energy, safety and commitment to their work with the residents through genuine, caring and empathetic engagement.
Standard Requirements:
- Is knowledgeable of resident's rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all clients in a safe, secure environment.
- Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security.
- Confidentiality of all client and personnel documentation and information.
- Supports and participates in common teamwork:
- Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plans and completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.
- Follow-up, as appropriate, with our Administrator, other supervisors, co-workers or client regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.
- Maintains acceptable attendance and dress codes, including personal hygiene, and other work policies, procedures and duties as assigned.
- Reports immediately any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Program Administrator
- Attends meetings as required
- Reports maintenance and vehicle concerns to Administration.
- Promptly reports incidents or evidence of abuse or violation of clients’ rights.
- Maintains respectful, supportive and positive communication. Track all resident information in staff logs and resident notes, using professional language. Must ensure all forms and progress notes (efforts) are properly completed throughout the shift and at the end of shifts to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong attention to detail, patience and perseverance.

- Provides individualized care and attention which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting and communication,
- Provides monitoring and management of youth’s socially unacceptable behavior while providing positive mental and emotional interaction and coaching to teach socially acceptable behavior.
- Drives vehicles in a safe and responsible manner when transporting children to doctor’s appointment, recreational activities, and other events. Follow guidelines and all procedures for safely securing passengers, wheelchairs and cargo.
Administrative Duties
- Completes all paperwork, implements program plans and ISP data as directed by the Administrator in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure proper and timely disbursement of resident medication
- Ensure resident clothing is washed, folded and neatly stored
- Attend and participate in required meetings as directed.
- Provide transportation to residents as required.
- Supervise residents in recreational activities both on campus and off campus.
- Be responsible during evening hours to contact appropriate administrative staff in case of an emergency.
- Make written reports of significant incidents occurring during shifts.
- Correct unacceptable behavior and help residents meet the necessary requirements of the house rules.
- Complete weekly meal monitoring sheets, assigned chores, and special requests.
- Assist in maintaining all necessary supplies for client needs, i.e. grooming supplies, household cleaning supplies, and items needed for staff job duties.

Demonstrates care for program facilities and equipment:
As the Campus Lead/Supervisor you will be required to ensure that regular house cleaning and sanitizing is complete and satisfies standards. Complete all household tasks and duties as assigned, or as needed, to promote a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will be required to maintain a clean house, clean atmosphere as part of normal daily work routine; attend all organizational required training that will enhance professional growth in the areas of education, vocational curriculum and instruction, other topics as deemed appropriate by the Executive/Administrator to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or information of policy changes or practice are adhered to and communicated effectively.
Education & Experience
- Minimally 3-5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of specialized populations such as individuals with a developmental disability, or mental health; expertise in special disciplines such as behavioral support, early intervention, or crisis intervention
- Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
- All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of the treatment issues concerning children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Experience with foster and/or adoptive children and families and knowledge of the DFPS system is preferred
- Ability to support the culture, growth, and success through communication, accountability, and positivity
- Ability to be clear headed and decisive based on the scope of the position
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to appropriately accept feedback through the supervision process - thus displaying the willingness to learn, grow, and improve
- Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, the Internet, and other software applications
- Effective oral/written communication and organizational skills
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Will occasionally be required to lift up to 25-50lbs.
- Comfortable with a work schedule change based on operational needs.
- Must be available and willing to work extended hours to include weekend, and holiday hours as determined by the needs of the business.
