What You'll Do:
This position is responsible for administering a broad range of insurance services/products for LGE Insurance Services, LLC (LGEIS) provided for the Credit Union's membership and surrounding communities. The Commercial Insurance Producer is responsible for meeting the Commercial Insurance needs of our members by quoting, underwriting, and servicing policies within the state insurance law guidelines. It is also a function of the Commercial Insurance Producer to educate/train both LGECCU employees and non-LGECCU members on brand/product introductions as well as new marketing/sales campaigns. A confident, personable, self-motivated individual who has a passion for driving results in the insurance world is at the heart of the Commercial Insurance Producer.Essential Functions:
Serve as a licensed Insurance Agent for LGE Insurance Services, LLC (LGEIS) to provide insurance sales and consulting services to LGECCU members, non-members, employees, and Select Employee Groups (SEG)
Sell Commercial /Business insurance policies to companies and individuals on behalf of insurance carriers which may include but not limited to: Property, Liability, Automobile, Worker's Compensation, Life, Other Business insurance
Responsible for producing client direct insurance sales opportunities in conjunction with the LGECCU Branch referral system
Maintains the assigned book of business in Agency Management System while regularly including notes on every contact interaction
Responsible for meeting/exceeding insurance premium sales goals while maintaining renewal retention at required levels
Assist clients with insurance problems, applications, audits, and account billing to ensure accuracy/compliance
Proactively correspond between insured/insurance carriers to maintain business relationships
Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled and appropriate insurance forms are completed accurately to maintain regulatory/carrier compliance
Actively promotes, supports, and complies with agency principles/core values
Act within the underwriting guidelines of the represented carriers to minimize LGEIS risk
Ensure confidentiality of all information and insurance sales transactions are held to the highest level of business ethics
Proactively seek opportunities to establish relationships to drive insurance sales
Proactively stay abreast of insurance industry trends and carrier coverage offerings
Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services
Maintain familiarity with and follow all policies, procedures, and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations. The regulations include but are not limited to The Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg. CC and the Patriot Act.
Who you are:
Required: High School Diploma
Required: Georgia Property & Casualty Agent License
Required: Georgia Life & Health Agent License
Required: 2 years insurance sales experience
Advanced knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance products, services, policies, and procedures
Detailed planning, organization, and decision-making skills with the ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
Verbal, written communication, time management, and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with clients, carriers, and co-workers
Ability to work independently under general supervision
