Job Title : Senior Database Developer / DBA
Summary of the Role
The Senior Database Developer / DBA will play a pivotal role in understanding the company's data ecosystem and related applications to support the enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, ERP, and integrated systems. This position will also take full responsibility for managing and administering the company’s database servers and ensuring the smooth operation of the data supply chain.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of Enterprise Data Systems and Enterprise Data Models, supporting the ERP project and other critical systems.
Design and develop advanced SQL queries, data table structures, stored procedures, and functions to support both business processes and integrated systems.
Review, optimize, and maintain database code for performance, addressing any bottlenecks.
Recommend and implement changes to relational data models to resolve issues with data warehouses, master data, and data mart environments.
Develop and maintain database / data solutions for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Power BI, and other integrated systems.
Administer and maintain the organization's data supply chain, supporting systems such as ERP, CRM, Workday, Active Directory, SharePoint, EDI, VMI, and others.
Take ownership of database server management and administration, previously handled by a third-party vendor.
Improve and enforce data governance, DevOps, change control, and testing processes.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
Ensure high standards of data quality and address data-related issues across the enterprise.
Skills and Abilities
8 years working as a database developer, database administrator, or in a related role.
Advanced proficiency in SQL Server and database programming.
Extensive experience with Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, and Business Intelligence disciplines.
Expertise in managing data-intensive business applications (ERP, CRM, etc.) and ensuring their integration and functionality.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SQL code and database systems.
Proficiency with SSIS and strong plus

5 years of experience working as a database developer, database administrator, or BI developer.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
