Responsibilities
- Manages the posting and reconciliation of payments received
- Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of cash to cash deposited; resolves outstanding items
- Develops communication and reconciliation with Financial Reporting on cash related items
- Works to advance technology for the posting function in order to scale resources as the company grows
- Resolves all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns in an expedient and respectful manner
- Develops and implements training process for cash posting department and new hires
- Oversees the management of personnel, provides recommendations for hiring, promotion, and personnel action when needed
- Monitor work assignments to ensure appropriate coverage on a daily basis
- Works with other home office departments as needed
- Provides focus and direction to process improvement in revenue cycle management for the cash posting department
- Establishes standards and develops processes to ensure continuous efficiency improvement in the revenue cycle cash posting process
- Participates in developing software applications training programs and documentation of training procedures for key personnel on a regular basis
- Assists with daily software application related user-level troubleshooting for the agencies and for Revenue Cycle Management staff on a regular basis
- Maintains issue log to track and monitor posting trends
- Develops and implements tracking of cash received to further improve the amount of EFT transactions
- Prepares statistical reports as needed
- Follows and maintains patient, account, and client confidentiality. Adheres to HIPPA and Compliance guidelines
- Problem solves independently before referring issues to a Supervisor/Manager for resolution
- Performs similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent experience
Education & Experience Desired
- 3 years of Accounting experience or equivalent
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business - Accounting degree preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cash posting and reconciliations
