Responsibilities
- Responsible for Revenue Cycle's EDI setup's. These include provider enrollments, database maintenance, web portal maintenance; DDE and Submitter ID set up/maintenance, liaison with vendor, test electronic files as needed and working help desk tickets
- Responds to all position related Help Desk Tickets in a timely (within 24 hours) and accurate manner maintaining customer satisfaction; resolves all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns in an expedient and respectful manner
- Responsible for timely completion of all EDI – ERA – EFT forms to include documentation and follow-up processes through to completion and approval with all payors
- Maintains accurate payor files for all commercial governmental payors to ensure clean submission through fiscal intermediaries and third party clearing house
- Must work with employees of all levels to support accurate, proper data exchanges and problem solving techniques
- Acquisitions: Maintains strict confidentiality in working with pre-close acquisition information; completes intermediary enrollments for all governmental payors (Medicare/Medicaid) linking provider to LHC submitter ID upon completion of Change of Ownership for all acquisition activity; Completes Zirmed/eSolutions payor enrollments necessary to add providers at acquisition
- Set up of billing and collections/accounts receivable for newly acquired agencies and prepares the accounts receivable for successful integration into production.
- Set up and completes troubleshooting for all new Medicaid program electronic claim submission/era for all new states
- Performs Maintenance on a weekly basis of all Zirmed/eSolutions products
- Maintains DDE user access for all Revenue Cycle Management Leaders and staff in addition to adding providers to existing user access for acquisition activity
- Identifies issues needing immediate attention that would hinder operations with enrollment/claim submission/posting issues and communicate those to your manager
- Participates as requested in special projects assigned to the Acquisition Team and other Revenue Cycle Support Admin Staff
- Problem solves independently before referring issues to the Manager for resolution
- Complies with Department best practices
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Formal Education: High School education or equivalent.
- Knowledge of billing and payer claims requirements (commercial and government).
- Understanding of the revenue cycle workflow.
- Knowledge of governmental and commercial insurance billing requirements.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, and a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and be self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.
- Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Possess excellent organizational and follow up skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Two years' relevant work experience or education in healthcare billing/coding a preferred, but not required.
