LHC Group is a leading healthcare provider seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join their team in Parsippany, New Jersey.
About the Role
- This is an ongoing opportunity for a full-time Physical Therapist to cover the Morris County area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status/mobility, endurance/stamina, pain and other medical conditions.
Based on this assessment and evaluation, the Physical Therapist will work to determine a treatment plan, perform interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patient's well-being, and evaluate the patient's progress.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional status and physical therapy needs.
- Assist physicians in developing therapy plans of care.
- Observe and report patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their condition to supervising nurses and/or physicians.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice.
- Instruct and inform participating members of the healthcare team, patients, and family/caregivers regarding plans of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey.
- Current CPR certification.
- A current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
