Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in providing occupational therapy to patients in their homes. This role involves working closely with the supervising OT to follow the established plan of care and instruct patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
- Responsible for following state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
- Follows the plan of care to instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants.
- Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician.
- Cordinates care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing occupational therapy to patients in their homes.
- Working closely with the supervising OT to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Instructing patients, family, caregiver, and other members of the healthcare team in areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
