We are hiring for a Volunteer in Hospice

Responsibilities
The volunteer plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of care delivered to the patient and family through patient/family care activities or administrative activities that support the hospice agency’s goal of quality patient/family care.
- Provides assistance to the hospice program and/or patient/family in accordance with designated activities.
- Provides input into the Plan of care and Interdisciplinary Group meetings as applicable.
- Accurately documents services provided as trained and instructed by the hospice agency.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality.
- Communicates any changes in the patient's status or observations to assigned supervisor and/or Administrator.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Associate degree or work equivalent is preferred
- Experience in health environment preferred
- Experience in working with people
- Proven management and leadership skills are preferred
Skill Requirements
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Current CPR certified, driver's license, valid vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
- Effective communication skills with a positive and outgoingattitude.
- Ability to coordinate and evaluate volunteer services.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft suite. Ability to learn multiple applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, consistent and flexible in a changing environment.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and take initiative.
