Speech Language Pathologist/Speech Therapist

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients to determine rehab potential, identify needs, establish individualized treatment plans, and set goals.
- Set initial Short-Term Goals (STGs) and Long-Term Goals (LTGs).
- Utilize equipment properly and safely, maintain inspection and maintenance logs, and report broken or faulty equipment.
- Follow medical regimens, adhere to precautions, and utilize safe treatment techniques for swallowing and communication.
- Assess communication and/or swallowing function using diagnostic materials.
- Complete discharge summaries for each patient on their final visit to outpatient Speech Therapy.
Education and Experience:
- Formal Education: Master's Degree from a program satisfying the American Speech-Language/Hearing Association's academic and practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience: Less than 6 months.
- License, Registration, and/or Certification Requirement: Yes.
- Current state license in Speech/Language Pathology or provisional license in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- CPR certification and all other certifications and documents as required by LHC Group policy.
