LHH is working with a Richmond, VA based client that is in need of an experienced Accounting Manager to join the team. This position is a critical role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the accounting functions for an affiliated company and managing the tax processes for multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting department and oversee the accounting processes for the company.
Handle all tax compliance related activities for the organization to include Sales / Use, Property and Corp Tax.
Supervise small team while providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and tax management.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
Key Requirements
Strong background in tax accounting with relevant qualifications.
Proven management experience in general accounting roles.
Personality Fit : Adaptable, Flexible, Agreeable and Reliable. Someone that is curious, asks good questions and can apply themselves.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or equivalent certification.
Experience in managing accounting functions for multiple entities, within the U.S. and Canada
Pay Range
90,000 - $105,000 Plus Bonus
