LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accounts Payable and Receivable candidate for a client of ours in the Willoughby, OH area.
This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal departments, vendors, and customers to maintain accurate financial transactions and ensure smooth cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities :
Verify and process invoices, including purchase orders and non-purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Post customer payments received via check, credit card, and ACH transactions.
Monitor accounts receivable for delinquencies, identify potential risks, and research unpaid balances.
Prepare and distribute customer invoices, credit memos, and statements.
Perform collection and credit management activities to minimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and bad debt losses.
Match purchase orders with invoices and post inventory and non-inventory invoices through data entry.
Process expense payments, run reports, print checks, and prepare payments for mailing.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and resolve discrepancies.
Review, audit, and process employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
Maintain sales tax exemption files and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Assist with financial reconciliations, audits, and reporting as needed.
Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Three to five years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the full-cycle Accounts Payable & Receivable process.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and exercise judgment in accordance with procedures and best practices.
Job Type : Direct Hire / Permanent
Location : Willoughby, OH area | 4 days in office / 1 day remote
Pay : $23 – 24 / hr.
