What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at LHH Recruitment Solutions?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Accounts Receivable Specialist job for the corporate office located in Emeryville, California. This position is 100 percent in-office! The ideal candidate will have 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience. The role will be responsible for ensuring on-time payments by customers, maintain an aging of customer accounts, follow-up on past due invoices, collections, oversee accounts and minimize credit risk, billing, work with the sales team to research and resolve accounts issues, customer service support, and assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications for the job include:
- Strong Accounts Receivable experience
- Collections, Billing (WIP Billing), Cash Applications experience
- Industry experience in Construction would be preferred
- Strong customer service and communications both written and verbal
- Solid knowledge of accounting knowing your debits and credit and general accounting
- Software experience with a large ERP system would be preferred
- Team player, able to work independently, patient, and enthusiastic
- Reliable, a can-do positive attitude, and gets the job done
- Detailed, a problem-solver, and organized
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree would be a preferred
Experience: 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience (AR Specialist, Credit & Collections, Billing Specialist)
