LHH has partnered with a Healthcare client in Fort Worth to hire an Assistant Controller. The salary for this position is $110-130K depending on experience. This role is in office everyday and comes with a full beneifts package.
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Controller to join our healthcare team in Fort Worth, TX. This on-site role is ideal for a skilled accounting professional with a strong background in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in managing and overseeing the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive financial packages, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support organizational goals.
Approve and create journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
Supervise and mentor a team of 5 direct reports, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with senior management to provide insights into financial performance and operational efficiency.
Assist in audits, including preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
CPA license (required).
A minimum of 6 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including month-end close and financial reporting.
Proven leadership or management experience, with the ability to effectively supervise and mentor a team.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience in healthcare industry systems is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
