LHH Recruitment solutions is seeking to fill a FULLY REMOTE Audit Manager role with a highly reputable accounting firm with a dedicated focus on Employee Benefit Plan Audits. Our client’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction has positioned them as a leader in the industry. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced audit professional ideally with some exposure to ERISA or 401K Plan Audits to join their team. Position Overview :
As an Audit Manager you will play a pivotal role in conducting audits of Employee Benefit Plans in accordance with ERISA requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of audited financial statements and the overall quality of our client’s audit services.
Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for ERISA-required audit substantive testing, maintaining adherence to regulatory guidelines, from beginning to end.
Prepare / Review audited financial statements for clients in compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
Review and oversee the work of audit staff, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of audits.
Assist with oversight of staffing and scheduling.
Assist with staff training.
Analyze plan documents to determine key plan provisions, guaranteeing their compliance with ERISA.
Actively participate in engagement team discussions to drive audit excellence.
Identify areas where clients can improve their processes and provide recommendations.
Prepare and deliver necessary communications to clients, addressing audit findings and recommendations.
Work independently in a remote environment while efficiently managing multiple audits.
Collaborate with a team, sharing your expertise and fostering a cooperative work environment.
Utilize proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS to enhance audit quality.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in client interactions and reporting.
Prioritize teamwork, assisting and mentoring junior team members.
Utilize Microsoft Office programs for audit and reporting purposes.
Desired Qualifications :
5 years of audit experience, with a preference for some ERISA or 401K audit experience.
Previous or current public accounting firm experience
CPA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environment.
Exceptional multitasking skills, enabling simultaneous management of multiple audits.
Proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS to ensure audit compliance and accuracy.
A keen eye for detail, with a strong focus on precision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interactions.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative work setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs for audit-related tasks.
