Billing Specialist (Healthcare)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced medical billing professional. The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the billing process for our healthcare services. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, resolving billing issues, and working closely with patients and insurance companies to facilitate payment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our non-profit mission. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $18 and $21 / hr.
Responsibilities :
Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies and patients.
Review and verify patient billing information for accuracy and completeness.
Follow up on unpaid claims and work with insurance companies to resolve issues.
Communicate with patients regarding their billing inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Maintain patient billing records and ensure confidentiality.
Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile billing discrepancies.
Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and insurance policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related role.
Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of insurance processes and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
