B2B Collections Specialist
Seeking a Collections Specialist for a long-term position in Downers Grove.
Location : 100% Onsite in Downers Grove, IL
Job Type : Temp-to-Hire
Pay : $25-30 / hour
Salary : $55-65K (DOE)
Reports To : Collections Manager
Job Summary : The B2B Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable from business clients. This role involves maintaining accurate records, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as experience in B2B collections.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
Contact business clients to collect overdue payments or negotiate payment plans.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer credit issues.
Maintain accurate records of collection activities and account statuses.
Prepare and submit regular reports on collection activities and accounts receivable status.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address client concerns.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in B2B collections or a similar role.
Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g., FDCPA).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
