Compensation Analyst- Kansas City (Remote)
LHH is partnering with a client in the Kansas City area who is seeking a Compensation Analyst. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our company's compensation strategy. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing compensation data, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compensation theory and techniques, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. Our ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience with conducting comprehensive market analysis and leveraging data-driven insights to propose adjustments to compensation ranges, pricing / leveling / grading jobs with the ability to navigate and utilize compensation modules. This would be a contract thru the remainder of 2025- with the opportunity to go permanent. The role would be based out of Kansas City, but open to candidates to work remote based on their experience per the requirements provided below.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with managers across various departments to develop robust compensation structures that enhance employee retention and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and leverage data-driven insights to propose adjustments to compensation ranges as necessary.
- Establish a framework for compensation based on merit and pay equity principles.
- Work closely with leadership to craft accurate and compelling job descriptions that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate on budgeting processes to allocate appropriate resources for compensation initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs and communications to empower managers in conducting successful and constructive conversations with their direct reports.
- Maintain system data integrity, assist with data cleanup, and create and execute a documented program of regular audit activities.
- Process and track interim pay and other compensation exception requests.
- Interface with IT and other contract vendors to troubleshoot, escalate as needed, and resolve system problems.
- Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate system report-writing tools.
- Maintain the compensation intranet site to ensure the latest policies, forms, and information are up to date.
- Research, analyze, and administer compensation-related interfaces to ensure file feed timeliness and accuracy.
