We are currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join our well-established Construction client. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist the CFO in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and profitability.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the company's financial health.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Construction industry experience required.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
