We are seeking a polished and experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team in Bergen County. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires someone who can work on-site 100% of the time and handle various HR functions with a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD).
- Utilize MS Office, particularly Excel, to perform v-lookups and create pivot tables.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and management.
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Run reports in Paychex and ensure accurate data management.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and ensure compliance.
- Follow established processes and procedures meticulously.
- Manage the expectations of the business and provide HR support as needed.
- Oversee the on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees.
- Assist with paying out vacation time and managing PTO requests.
- Conduct employee reviews and provide feedback.
- Stay cool under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Own the HR processes and ensure they are executed efficiently.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in HR roles.
- Strong benefits background and understanding of FMLA.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Ability to manage the expectations of the business and handle ad hoc projects.
- HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR) are a plus.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
