Job Title : Insurance and Claims Representative
MUST WORK PST Work Hours
Schedule : Monday - Friday
Start times : Between 5 : 00 AM and 8 : 00 AM PST
End times : Between 1 : 30 PM and 4 : 30 PM PST
Weekly Hours : 40
Compensation : $18.65 per hour
Position Type : Full-time, 40 hours a week
Contract Duration : 3 month with possibility of extension and / or conversion
Position Overview :
We are seeking an Insurance and Claims Representative to join our team located in Reno, NV . This role involves working closely with insurance companies to ensure timely collections and claims resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate payer portals efficiently.
Responsibilities :
Contact companies to collect outstanding balances.
Submit appeals for denied claims.
Verify eligibility, claim status, and authorization status through payer portals.
Handle inpatient and outpatient claims (preferred).
Maintain accurate records of interactions and claim resolutions.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service or office environment.
Experience with inpatient and outpatient claims is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Training Details :
Training will be provided in two parts :
Working closely with a team member to learn job responsibilities and assigned projects.
On-the-job learning to reinforce duties and processes.
Training hours are static during the initial on boarding period.
Work Hours :
Regular work hours follow Pacific Time Zone (PST).
Potential flexibility in scheduling is available after completing training.
