Inventory Coordinator
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, meeting customer demands, and minimizing inventory losses. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Harvey IL.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Support order picking and packing processes.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory.
- Investigate and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Enter inventory data into the WMS or ERP system.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other key metrics.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, other departments, and vendors regarding inventory matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
