We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our client on a contract-to-hire basis. Located on the north side of Columbus, this role offers the opportunity to work in a close knit environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account reconciliations, advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), and experience with QuickBooks. This role involves preparing journal entries, performing bank reconciliations, generating profit and loss statements, and assisting with annual budget preparation.
Responsibilities :
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Maintain and update QuickBooks records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
Generate profit and loss statements and other financial reports as needed.
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Experience in QuickBooks preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Pay Details : $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
