Legal Admin- Kansas City, MO
LHH is partnering with a client in the Legal industry to fill their Legal Admin in Kansas City, MO. This role requires superb organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and an understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Legal department.
- Monitor the Legal Department’s e-mail inbox, schedule incoming requests for contract reviews and legal advice, and maintain a department task list to ensure tasks are completed by the scheduled date.
- Make requested changes to company template agreements on a case-by-case basis in a timely manner.
- Draft basic contract amendments and corporate resolutions and circulate these for signing.
- Draft correspondence responding to requests for information or employee personnel files.
- File annual municipal and provincial business licenses.
- Assist with the tracking of uncapped liability contracts and the preparation of quarterly legal and other corporate legal reports.
- Perform administrative functions for the legal department, including photocopying legal documents, filing as appropriate, managing department scheduling, and ensuring all binders/folders are organized and up to date.
- Prepare and format legal and management reports.
- Maintain and update databases and tracking systems.
- Respond to inquiries and redirect them when necessary.
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars.
- Prepare court forms and statements.
- Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of previous administrative experience- within the legal industry highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills- verbal & written
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
