Accounts Payable Specialist
LHH is assisting with a search for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in Kansas City, MO. This position will working on-site to start with opportunity to go hybrid after training with pay starting at $50,000 and going up based on experience. Our ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of accounts payable experience AND/OR Bachelor’s in Accounting with an internship and looking to start their career. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and approve Concur expense reports in a timely manner.
Review and provide feedback on the daily output/transaction levels.
Provide timely responses to associate questions.
Create and track recurring payments.
Make payments to Company’s Producers.
Assist with returned payments or other payment issues (void and reissue).
Assist with the annual 1099 process.
Assist with the escheatment process for Operating Payables checks issued.
Ensure that all deadlines are set and met, and quality and service standards are maintained.
Partner with the Concur team to identify training opportunities and enhancements to help limit the number of expense reports flagged for manual processing.
Partner with Concur team on complex issues and financial reporting needs.
Identify areas for process improvements.
Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all accounting department policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
At least 1-3 years of accounts payable
Bachelors in Accounting preferred
Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and possess strong organizational skills.
Proven experience with automated and electronic payment solutions for A/P.
Proven experience managing a high volume of invoices and superior organization skills.
