Job Title : Patient Intake Registrar; bilingual (Chinese / Mandarin)
Job Type : 13-week assignment, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Position Summary : The Bilingual Patient Intake Registrar is responsible for registering, scheduling, and obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients to ensure payment from third-party payers. This role requires a candidate who is fluent in Chinese / Mandarin and English. This is a 13 week contract assignment and an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills with an established healthcare company.
Essential Job Duties :
Greet and register patients, obtain and enter demographic and insurance information.
Pre-register patients and perform insurance verification checks.
Schedule and manage daily appointments, ensuring efficient clinic operations.
Retrieve and prepare patient charts, ensuring all necessary information is recorded.
Interface with referring offices and internal departments to schedule exams.
Assign and update billing codes, process third-party bills, and prepare pertinent paperwork.
Verify third-party eligibility, determine patient liability, and obtain authorizations.
Notify patients of financial obligations, counsel on payment options, and collect co-payments.
Maintain records of financial transactions and assist in compiling data for reports.
Experience Requirements :
1 year of clerical experience (Required)
Data entry skills with a minimum of 4500 keystrokes per hour (Required)
Familiarity with medical terminology (Preferred)
Experience in a medical office with heavy phone call volume (Preferred)
Skills :
Effective communication and telephone skills (Required)
Proficient keyboard skills (Required)
Excellent customer service skills (Required)
Knowledge of Coding : ICD 9, CPT-4, and health insurance benefits / requirements (Preferred)
Pay Details : $22.00 to $24.50 per hour
