LHH Recruitment Solutions is proactively seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis.

Job Title : Receptionist (Contract)

Location : Houston area, Texas

Job Type : Temp / Contract

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM or 9 AM - 5 PM

Pay Rate : $18.00 - $20.00 / hr (DOE)

As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing front-office activities, greeting visitors, answering calls, and performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the office operations. You will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth communication, handle inquiries, and help maintain an organized and professional office environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Front Desk Operations : Greet visitors, clients, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Phone Management : Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and provide general information to callers in a clear and polite manner.
  • Scheduling : Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and conference room bookings.
  • Mail & Deliveries : Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries, ensuring that items are properly distributed.
  • Administrative Support : Assist with light administrative duties, such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Office Organization : Maintain an organized and tidy front office area, ensuring that office supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service to visitors, employees, and clients by answering questions and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other administrative staff to support day-to-day office operations and ensure smooth communication between departments.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate's degree or coursework in Office Administration or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience : 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or office support role is preferred.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
  • Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office phone systems and equipment.
  • Customer Service : A friendly, welcoming demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Problem-Solving : Ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Professionalism : Strong attention to detail, with a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
