Job Summary:
LHH is seeking a Material Handling and Repair Support Specialist. The position is responsible for preparing parts for upcoming jobs in welding, machining, and assembly areas while organizing incoming and repaired components for work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle the unloading, movement, and storage of various materials, parts, and products.
Inspect incoming materials for shortages or damage and report discrepancies.
Organize and store materials efficiently, ensuring proper stacking and arrangement.
Transport materials between workstations as required.
Operate forklifts and other power lift equipment to move materials, stack pallets, and transport shipments.
Prepare and load materials, parts, and products for shipment.
Coordinate with different departments to ensure efficient material flow.
Report shortages and incomplete orders promptly.
Select appropriate shipping containers and packing materials to ensure safe transport.
Utilize both manual and automated equipment for handling and processing materials.
Stack shipments on skids and transport them to designated shipping areas.
Receive, inspect, and unpack incoming materials and supplies.
Verify shipments against purchase orders to confirm accuracy and identify any damages or defects.
Expedite materials to proper storage locations as needed.
Operate cranes, hoists, and powered equipment for material handling.
Safety & Compliance Responsibilities:
Understand and adhere to the company’s safety policies and objectives.
Follow established safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Exercise the right and responsibility to intervene in case of safety concerns and positively receive interventions from others.
Comply with all work instructions, policies, and posted safety signs, including the proper use of required PPE.
Adhere to ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards and procedures.
Shift: 6 am – 2 pm, M-F
Pay: $21/hr
Depending on the specific client, location, and role benefit may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Available paid leave may include Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
