LHH is seeking a Vice President of Engineering for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a long-standing client headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. This role will be responsible for overseeing a multi-site operation, standardizing processes, implementing best practices, providing coaching and mentorship to engineering staff, and ensuring compliance to safety and quality standards. Other essential aspects of this role include the execution of large CAPEX projects across engineering and maintenance disciplines, business expansions and acquisitions, and more. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $175,000-200,000 per year plus bonus and includes medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long-term disability, 401K program with a company match, and generous PTO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of efficient engineering operations across the multi-site operation
Develop and implement new technologies, processes, and strategies to meet company goals
Identify and implement best practices through collaborating with staff across the network
Write SOPs and standardize practices to ensure consistency
Lead engineering projects and keep leadership informed of project status and updates
Implement cost savings initiatives and partner with plant staff through their execution
Manage growth plans and remain proactive with capital projects in order to sustain growth
Foster a proactive and positive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies and quality assurance standards
Serve as a mentor for engineering team and demonstrate highly effective principles of engineering
Develop strategic goals, establish systems for tracking results and continuous improvement, and ensure that organizational objectives and daily activities are on pace to meet customer needs
Partner with site and department leaders and employees and provide technical problem-solving and engineering expertise as needed
20-30% travel is required across the multi-site operation
QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM degree
Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience at the plant-level
Minimum of 10 years of experience with direct oversight of engineering staff
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a multi-site organization
Must be willing to travel up to 20-30% (including out of state travel)
Preference toward candidates who have served in Director and / or VP positions at the Corporate-level
Must have experience designing and leading multi-million-dollar CAPEX projects from cradle to grave
Must have demonstrated ability to influence and align organizational strategies to maximize talent capability and behaviors
Must possess the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity while executing responsibilities
