The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the efficient operation of all equipment and facilities within the food and beverage manufacturing plant. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, ensuring timely repairs and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality control, to address maintenance-related issues and improve overall efficiency.
- Manage the procurement of maintenance supplies and spare parts, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and 3 years direct supervisory experience
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
