Accounting Director

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Director to oversee financial operations, reporting, and internal controls for our hospitality business. This role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work. The Accounting Director will play a key role in financial planning, compliance, and decision-making, ensuring the company's financial health and long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality finance, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize financial efficiency and cost control measures.
• Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Implement financial systems and process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure strategic allocation of resources and return on investment.
• Stay updated on hospitality industry trends, tax regulations, and financial best practices.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members to support a high-performance finance function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience overseeing CapEx planning and financial management.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
