Our client is seeking a motivated Accounting Manager with 4 years’ accounting experience to join their team in Melville. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail and someone who is deadline minded. You will oversee the day to day general accounting operation and will report directly to the Assistant Controller. This position will provide GREAT opportunity for growth potential
Job Responsibilities
• Assist in month-end close process, which includes recording various journal entries and offer well thought out suggestions on where improvements are needed and how they should be implemented.
• Manage the day to day accounting operations
• Monthly reconciliations- cash, account receivable, accounts payable
• Prepare cash flow projections/ Ad Hoc reporting
• Handle and assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual close process
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA a plus)
• 6 years in experience
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups)
