LHH is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial processes for our client located in Glenview. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and GAAP while providing crucial support in forecasting, reporting, and analysis to divisional leaders. This role involves managing accounting personnel, facilitating monthly close requirements, and driving financial analysis and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information, adhering to the company's policies and US GAAP.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting processes that surpass internal and external audit requirements.
- Manage the receivables and assigned staff accounting team members for a division with a high volume of transactions.
- Effectively manage the exchange of financial information with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate and complete monthly close requirements and consolidation procedures.
- Support Division Controller and leadership team in achieving division goals, including annual operating plans and strategic plans.
- Identify, lead, and develop talent to maximize individual, team, and organizational effectiveness.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and corporate requests.
- Play a critical role in ERP & Financial Data Management, contributing to the implementation of future business systems and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); MBA and/or CPA (strongly preferred).
- 5 years of Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections.
- Demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) managing a direct staff of accounting professionals.
- Demonstrated accountability for results and understanding of the financial impact of decisions.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP and BI systems, Microsoft Office software.
