Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department's daily operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role.
- 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
