Role: Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities:
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee accounting functions, manage a small team, and ensure accuracy in financial operations across all entities. Specific responsibilities include:
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Manage and supervise a team, including AP Clerks and the Bookkeeper, ensuring that work is accurate and efficient.
- Review and oversee the Accounts Payable process to maintain clean and accurate AP Aging reports.
- Provide guidance to team members, answering questions and resolving issues related to AP, bank reconciliations, depreciation, accruals, and journal entries.
- Lead and support direct reports by ensuring proper delegation and team development.
- Month-End Close & Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the month-end close process for all entities, ensuring that it is completed on time and accurately.
- Review and prepare workpapers to support each financial statement line item.
- Perform general ledger account analysis and work with the team to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Process Improvement & Analysis:
- Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and recommend actionable changes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for special projects or operational needs, ensuring that management has accurate information for decision-making.
- Collaboration with CFO:
- Assist the CFO in improving reporting systems and enhancing the visibility and timing of accounts receivable, particularly for Teleradiology and other revenue streams.
- Collaborate with the CFO to revamp accounting processes to increase efficiency across the team.
- Healthcare Experience:
- Leverage healthcare-specific accounting knowledge, including revenue cycle management, to ensure proper financial handling across multiple healthcare entities.
- Provide insight into healthcare-related financial challenges and help guide the team in resolving them.
- Tax Preparation & Compliance:
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and provide support with any tax-related needs for the organization.
- Excel Expertise:
- Use advanced Excel skills to create detailed financial reports, perform analysis, and track key financial metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Experience:
- 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Healthcare experience is highly preferred (knowledge of revenue cycle management, multi-entity structures, etc.).
- Skills:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare accounting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a small team, with excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Additional:
- Ability to identify areas for process improvements and implement changes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
