We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join their expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Review vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations
- Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system
- Support the finance department with additional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [insert software if applicable] is a plus)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
