Our client, located in Jamaica, Queens, has an immediate need for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on this possible temp to hire position. The right candidate will have the ability to work directly with the CFO and assist with financial presentations. This exciting opportunity requires someone to manage the full cycle of accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, and data entry.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and expense reports.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor records and manage vendor relationships.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Prior Accounts Payable experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: $30 - $35/hr, depending on experience.
