Accounts Receivable Specialist (Cash Application)
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for accurately applying cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring timely and precise processing of payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $18 and $21.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately apply cash receipts to customer accounts, including checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash receipts and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to payment applications and discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all cash application activities.
- Generate and analyze reports on cash application activities and provide insights to management.
- Work closely with the billing, collections, and customer service teams to ensure seamless cash application processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or cash application.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong Data Entry skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
